THE IDEA

Read a filtered report correctly

A report total describes only the records included by its filters. It is not automatically the company’s entire pipeline or revenue.

Inspect the result rows and the total together. In this task the default fixture contains a small number of matching deals so you can verify the summary.

Builds on Summarize pipeline responsibility

A WORKED EXAMPLE

A simple example

If a report includes one $5,000 proposal, its amount total is $5,000 even if other deals exist in different stages.

A common mistakePipeline amount is potential sale value, not proof that cash has been collected.
